You can make Marks yourself with a crafting skill, then use them to buy ascended gear. You also can get up to 3/10ths of a Mark per week in WvW via Mark Shards from the league chests. Fastest way to get ascended trinkets is to farm Living World Season 3 maps for map currency and then buy them from the vendors.
